In this case the painting is "Christina's World" by Andrew Wyeth.--->>>The only thing I knew in advance about the painting was that the girl in the foreground was somehow crippled and could not walk to the house in the background.
I enjoyed this novel; it was a good character story about Christina Olson, who served as some kind of muse to Wyeth for many years.
