Fiction by Liane Moriarty
This is the sequel to the bestseller Big Little Lies, which was also made into a hit HBO series. At the beginning the author's note makes it clear that this is a sequel to the book and not the TV show, which is good because I read the book and didn't see the show.
The story here picks up ten years after the last one left off; the kids who were sweet five-year-olds in the first book are now angsty teenagers, but the moms are still close friends. A lot of things happen and there are several surprises.
I loved this book!
