I'd call this a light read full of dark humor. I really liked it, except for the very last chapter. I see that they are making a movie; I hope they put a different ending on for that.

This was an exciting thriller with several surprises!

This is a novel based on a true story, about a girl called Mandy. She had blocked out a traumatic childhood event so completely that she didn't know it was there. It's not until she has tp go back to the place where it happened that she begins to remember.
This was a pretty good story, but not as good as most of Cathy Glass's books.

This is the sequel to Seconds Away, and the third book in the trilogy that began with Shelter. I think it's the last book in the Mickey Bolitar series, which is a shame. I really liked these characters and the plots of all three books were great!

This story has a great set up and the plot is not bad; however, I did not enjoy this book. I just didn't like the characters. I think the author was trying to set up a simmering suspenseful sort of atmosphere, and she only succeeded in giving me a vaguely unpleasant feeling.
Still, I really wanted to know what happened, and the ending was a surprise.....

Audible Original Fiction by Alexander C. Kane
This is the final story in the Andrea Vernon trilogy, which began with Andrea Vernon and the Corporation for Ultrahuman Protection. The last book, Andrea Vernon and the Superhero Industrial Complex ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I was really looking forward to this one! It did not disappoint me. This was a very good story!
If you like exciting stories and don't mind taking a leap into a fantasy world, I definitely recommend these audiobooks. The characters are so fun and the plots are great. Remember, though...

Donna seems to be such a sad and dejected child that Cathy can't believe her former carers' reports of excessive sibling rivalry could be true.
Soon Cathy learns that Donna feels responsible for keeping the younger kids in line, and blames herself for the fact that she and her brothers were taken into foster care. Unfortunately, her idea of "helping" with younger children is an imitation of her mother's abusive care, and Cathy much keep a careful watch on her own kids when they are with Donna.
In this story Cathy must help Donna learn that she is not responsible for everyone else and work to lift Donna's pervasive sadness as she looks toward the future.

This story is a novel "based on a true story," and it's an exciting one!
Aisha is a young woman from a sheltered and traditional home, so when she gets married she does not balk at obeying her husband's wishes. He makes her quit her job as soon as she gets pregnant, stop seeing her family, and stay within an ultra-strict budget. His isolation and control of her is so pervasive that Aisha sees no way out, even when he abuses her physically.
The reader really roots for Aisha and her children to get away from her terrible situation, and I don't feel it's a spoiler to say she finally does. There are some surprises at the end of this story, too!
